Playing Hockey in the Spirit of Sportsmanship and Fellowship

The Calgary 55+ Hockey Association was formed in 1990 to provide an opportunity for residents 55 years and older of Calgary and area to play recreational hockey.  The Association’s members generally play in the mornings and early afternoon with seven teams at South Fish Creek Cardel Rec Centre, and one team at each of the Optimist, Rose Kohn, Shouldice and Henry Viney Arenas.  Teams consist of 35 to 40 players to provide sufficient players to provide for two teams each ice time.

The annual hockey playing season extends from October 1 to March 31 inclusive.

The Association is managed by an Executive Management Committee (EMC).  An Elected Team Coordinator represents each team on this committee.  Interested individuals wishing to register should contact one of the coordinators listed under the Executive Management Committee.
